Tax Policy
CHEFS Catalog charges sales tax in all U.S. states except Delaware, Montana, New Hampshire and Oregon (these states don’t have a sales tax.) Appropriate sales tax will be added to your merchandise total and displayed for your review prior to submitting your order. The tax rate applied to your order will generally be the combined state and local rate for the address where your order is approved or shipped. Therefore, the tax rate applied to your order may be different for an order shipped to your home address than it is for an order for the very same items shipped to your work address.
Shipping and Handling charges are calculated based upon the total cost of merchandise in your order to each individual shipping address. Expedited orders (second day air shipping & next day air shipping) ship via FedEx and orders should be placed prior to 2pm EST. Standard Shipping orders are shipped via the best method available, which may include FedEx Ground, USPS, SmartPost, etc. STANDARD Delivery within 7-10 business days from the date of the order. Weekend and Holiday delivery is not available. SECOND-DAY Expected delivery within 2 business days after your order leaves our warehouse for in-stock items. Weekend and Holiday delivery is not available. Not available for delivery to P.O. boxes or APO/FPO addresses, or for heavy items or items delivered directly from the manufacturer, or for items with additional postage charges. NEXT-DAY Expected delivery the next business day after your order leaves our warehouse for in-stock items. Weekend and Holiday delivery is not available. These delivery estimates do not apply during our Holiday Delivery schedule. Orders with multiple items shipped to the same address may not ship in the same box. International Addresses At this time, it is not possible to specify a shipping address in another country. Post Office Boxes Second-day and next-day deliveries are not available to post office boxes. Please select standard delivery during checkout for all orders shipped to P.O. boxes. Items shipped directly from the manufacturer can not be delivered to P.O. Boxes. Orders to P.O. boxes are delivered via parcel post, USPS.

If you need to return the item for any reason, simply complete and detach the top portion of the packing slip with the reason for your return and the action you wish us to take. Repack the item including the top portion of the packing slip with your return instructions. CHEFS pays return shipping fees when you use our FedEx Return Service. To receive FREE Return Shipping, you MUST use our prepaid label and take your package to an authorized FedEx-staffed location. You can find FedEx-Staffed Authorized Return Locations at www.fedex.com/locatorreturns or by calling 1-800-GoFEDEX and asking for the nearest FedEx-staffed location. Detach the barcode from the bottom of the first page of the packslip and give it to the FedEx-staff. They will use it to generate a shipping label and will give you a receipt along with a return tracking number. If you no longer have your pack slip, please contact customer service for return instructions at 1-800-338-3232.
